0suspicious presses

A worn switch can turn one click into two. Any press that starts within this window after the same button was released is flagged, because a finger can't click that fast. Click each button normally 20 or so times to check.

Good to know

  • Polling rate and DPI are estimates. A browser sees the mouse through the computer, so mouse software and pointer settings can change the numbers. Very high polling rates (4000–8000 Hz) may read lower here.
  • Extra buttons beyond Back and Forward (for example a DPI button or extra side buttons) are usually handled by the mouse or its software, so browsers can't see them. If you set one to act as a key press, the Keyboard Tester can test it.
  • Right-click menus are switched off on this page so the right button can be tested.
  • Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
